Hex V3: A Court, a Virus and Three Story Routes

A robot with a different kind of interruption

Hex swaps QT's alley for a basketball court, but a friendly robot is only the beginning of the encounter. The V3 Event Update follows a charity match that is interrupted by Slasher and the continuing IRIS conflict. Boyfriend's four lanes remain familiar while the surrounding presentation becomes more demanding. Start here after QT when you want another robotic character with a different soundtrack and story.

Open Hex’s browser edition

Select Play Now and allow the game to reach its menu. Pick Story to follow a chapter or Freeplay to revisit a particular performance. Click the frame before using your keyboard. The separate downloadable release and this browser adaptation may differ.

Prefer a separate game window? Open the standalone game player (opens in a new tab).

Decide between the story and a single chart

Choose a readable first chart so that the presentation does not hide the rhythm you are learning.

  1. Start the embedded build and click its canvas to activate keyboard input.
  2. Find Week X, Weekend X or Event X through Story, or select a track through Freeplay.
  3. Review the offered chart level before you confirm the song.
  4. Use the configured directional keys at your own receptors. Hold long notes through their tails.
  5. Treat mines as hazards to leave untouched. For moving lanes, anchor your reading to the current target positions.

B.I.T.Find this at the start of Event X. Begin with the basketball chapter when you want the newer setting rather than replaying the park introduction.
Detected (2026)Compare reduced and full modchart settings. Familiarity with the notes gives you one fewer thing to learn when you increase the effects.
HeadbasherSlasher’s encounter adds mines. Leave those objects alone while continuing the regular musical responses.

Choose the effects you are ready to read

Detected (2026) separates the rhythm from the full visual challenge: Easy leaves out the modchart, Normal reduces it and Hard keeps its complete effects. Use those choices to learn the phrasing before committing to the moving lanes.

A mine is a different object from an ordinary directional note. On Headbasher, hitting one can end a run immediately. Read the type of object before committing to an input; reflexively tapping everything is the wrong habit for that encounter.

A chapter map for the television-headed singer

Week X starts in the park. Weekend X shifts to an awards broadcast. Event X brings the charity basketball game and Slasher into the story. Those labels help you locate the setting you want without assuming that every encounter belongs to the newest chapter.

Finding your way around Hex V3

Which Hex chapter happens on the basketball court?

Look for Event X in Story. It is the charity-game chapter and leads to the Slasher confrontation.

Is Hex controlled the same way as QT?

The regular charts use directional inputs. Build-specific effects and mines require their own attention; QT’s Space-to-dodge instruction should not be carried over to every Hex chart.

Should I install the desktop mod first?

The embedded adaptation loads independently. Follow the credited GameBanana release only if you want its separate desktop files and installation requirements.
